DREAMWORK
Everyone dreams every night, and you will
remember them if you take more interest
and address issues that might be
interfering with good sleep. This is one of
my specialities and I can definitely help
you understand them.
JOURNALING
Writing down what we are going through
helps us understand how events and
circumstances determine our moods and
state of being, and what we can do to fine-
tune things as we go… especially when
techniques such as unsent letters, periodic
reviews, dream decoding, self-analysis, etc.,
are utilized. Going back to look at your
progress and the changes you are making
can be invaluable for motivation.
MEDITATION
This involves temporarily ignoring our external world in order to find the light and joy of the Inner
Self. As such, it involves grappling with boredom… that is the “work” part of meditation. People
often don’t maintain a regular practice for a number of reasons that we can fix! We’ll discover the
right technique for you—it doesn’t always involve sitting down with your eyes closed!
service
Doing something that directly benefits
others, especially in a volunteer or pro-
bono capacity, always makes you feel better
because it “gets you out of your head” and
causes you to work for your own spiritual
goals in the world at large.
affirmations
Affirmations proper are far more than
merely verbal statements that you might use
to reinforce something to yourself. With the
right imagery, feeling and understanding,
affirmations align our needs with the subtle
forces in the universe that determine our
realties and what we experience from
moment to moment. Each of us already
affirms things to ourselves, although usually
unconsciously… often resulting in less-than-
satisfactory levels of contentment.
appropriate behavior
Often, the easiest way to confront and
gradually change our internal priorities is
to make yourself behave externally as if you
did prefer better lifestyle ideas. Things like
poor diet, smoking or other substance use,
lack or exercise, ignoring personal or family
issues, too much electronics (TV/video
/internet), excessive hanging out etc. often
stand between us and our goals. I will hold
you accountable!
appropriate reading and watching
Everything we absorb has an effect on us.
Some entertainment and relaxation is
appropriate, but otherwise, what are we
feeding ourselves? The right material goes a
long way to encourage and justify new
values and understandings that you may be
trying to Implement. Traditional scriptural
sources may not be appropriate due to
dated language and the associations we
have with them.
This refers to a huge range and degree of activity with the physical body—anything from seniors’
chair yoga to Iron Man Triathlons. We’ll get you on a program!
